Experience and Education
I am a WHS graduate from the class of 2004. It is great to be able to give back to the district that helped build my academic foundation. In 2009 I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Mathematics Education with a minor in Biology from Eastern Michigan University. Then, in 2013, I earned a Master's degree in Integrating Technology in the Classroom from Walden University. I am currently in my 5th year of teaching high school math. I began my career in 2009-10 at Oxford High School in Oxford, MI, and then came back to WHS at the beginning of the 2010-11 school year and have been teaching here since. It has been a great experience so far, and I look forward to continuing my career here.

Cell Phone Policy
Cell phones should remain out of sight and out of mind, as well as turned off, unless the teacher clearly permits their use. I will let students know if and when cell phones are allowed to be out, and will only do so for educational purposes. Students should never use their cell phone in class to make a call or send a text message (even to parents), and doing so could result in confiscation. If a student needs to contact their parent they can do so from the main office. If you need a parent/guardian needs to contact their student, they should do so through the main office, per school policy.
Grades are updated periodically during the trimester, I try my best to keep everything as current as possible. Parent and student access to MISTAR can be found by clicking the appropriate link: StudentConnection ParentPortal
